Bourbon, Brotherhood, and the Future of Optometry with Dr. Horace Deal

Welcome to the inaugural episode of SECO Unscripted, the new podcast from SECO International where eye care, friendship, family, and a good time all come together.

Hosts Dr. Brad Lane and Dr. Matt Burchett kick things off the right way at the Kentucky Optometric Association spring meeting, sitting down with SECO Past President Dr. Horace Deal for a conversation that moves from bourbon to brotherhood to the future of the profession.

Dr. Deal, a certified Executive Bourbon Steward, walks the hosts through two pours, including a rare 1990s "old dusty" Blanton's, while sharing his path into optometry, his earliest SECO memory, and the lessons that have shaped his career.
